Wedding Trends

There are 3 wedding trends in 2022 that keep occurring regularly at weddings I photograph. And I am here for them all!

The first trend is a smaller guest count. I’m talking about 40 or less guests. I love this because it's your core group of friends and family that will be supporting your marriage surrounding you on your wedding day. With a smaller guest count, you can afford to spoil your guests with a luxury reception. I’m loving seeing lavish seated dinner receptions at long tables with stunning floral arrangements.

The second popular wedding trend of 2022 is a private last dance for the newlywed couple. Couples are sending their guests outside to prepare for their exit while they dance to their first dance song one more time. This is such a fabulous idea because your wedding day really does fly by. This private dance gives couples the ability to really soak in their special day.

Lastly, I’m loving the eco-friendly trend of throwing lavender as the newlyweds exit their wedding reception. There’s no danger of accidents like with sparklers and all wedding venues approve because it is biodegradable. Did I mention the smell is fantastic!!
