Jaellene & Sean

Wedding at The Pavilion at Pepper Plantation

THEIR LOVE STORY

Read on for all the dreamy details of Jaellene & Sean's dusty blue wedding at The Pavilion at Pepper Plantation. Jaellene & Sean first met through mutual friends. Both Shelby and Jaellene worked as nurses and Wells was a fellow police officer with Sean. The couple's first date was at a movie theater. However, the movie was awful, so they don't even remember the name! Luckily, the two hit it off and much later got engaged. I was fortunate to photograph their beautiful engagement session- click here to view.

Even though the day started chilly, it soon warmed to be an idyllic day for a winter wedding in Charleston. Both the ceremony and the reception took place at The Pavilion at Pepper Plantation. It's a fantastic lesser-known Charleston wedding venue with unique features. Some of my favorites are the horses, a large modern barn, the oyster shell patio around the fire pit, and a 10-acre lake boasting a dock complete with a dreamy Gazebo.

The day started in the log wood cottage on the property, where the girls got their hair and makeup done by Silhouette on Site. Enchanted Wedding Florals delivered exquisite floral arrangements for the bridal party. The pale floral color palette consisted of blush quicksand roses, blue delphinium, silver dollar eucalyptus, dusty miller, and Italian pittosporum. The flowers perfectly complimented the dusty blue bridesmaids's dresses from Azazie.

After a champagne toast, the bride slipped into her strapless beaded wedding gown purchased from Verita Bridal Boutique. The couple then had their first look near an old oak tree. it was a sweet moment for the couple and their daughter Lynn to soak in the importance of the day together. Later, the stunning bride also did a reveal with her father. The ex-marine couldn't hold back his happy tears as he took in the sight of Jaellene.
Shortly thereafter, Jaellene & Sean's afternoon Anglican ceremony again. It overlooked the lake & fountain on the property. Guests consisted of close friends and family who traveled far to witness the beginning of the couple's union. The wedding ceremony itself was very personal as the groom's father helped officiate. Furthermore, it was the bride's first time taking communion since being recently baptized.
The intimate reception was held inside the large barn. after the first dances, BBQ was served buffet style. The DJ got the party going with a money dance. It's a northern tradition where guests put money in a hat to dance with the bride and groom. It was so fun seeing everyone taking turns dancing with the couple! At one point during the dance party, the whole family was on the dance floor including the grandparents, who had some great moves! Besides being gorgeous, guests kept commenting on how delicious the buttercream wedding cake provided by Cakes by Kait was.

Jaellene and Sean graciously serve the community every day! I'm so happy they got to enjoy this perfect day focused on just them! Cheers to many more years of love and happiness for this incredibly sweet couple.
