Toogoodoo to be true Wedding

College sweethearts Brenden and Amelia just tied the knot in a charming wedding at Toogoodoo Bluff in Hollywood, South Carolina. They first met at an open mic night in Charleston where they quickly learned they had a lot in common. They both highly valued their relationship with God and even attended the same church and high school! Furthermore, they were both planning on going to the same college. Coincidence or fate?! After photographing this highly emotional wedding, I think fate for sure!

Proposal Story

Following months of dating, Brenden proposed to Amelia by surprising her with a nice dinner on her birthday. He then took her to the beach and their friends took “birthday” pictures of them. When Brenden first dropped to his knee and proposed Amelia thought it was just another pose for their photo shoot. However, when he produced a gorgeous engagement ring, Amelia knew it was for real and screamed with joy!

Her engagement ring is called “ever us” and has two large focal diamonds: one to represent true love and the other to represent her best friend. This ring truly sums up Amelia and Brenden’s relationship which was founded in deep friendship and mutual respect.

Wedding Inspiration for Toogoodoo Bluff Wedding

Their wedding day was supposed to take place at Alhambra Hall in Mount Pleasant, but the Covid virus had other plans. Alhambra remained closed for quarantine, so all wedding celebrations were moved to Toogoodoo Bluff. It’s a private family compound comprised of a 250-year-old renovated farmhouse, log cabin and cottage located 30 minutes out of Charleston.

Amelia & Brenden’s wedding theme was beach garden with a rustic chic aesthetic. The bride personally handmade all of the floral arrangements and flower crowns. They were bursting with cream and lavender roses and were gorgeous! The view of the marsh helped tie in the beach theme. The entire wedding day was sweetly personalized with members of the bride’s family providing ceremony and reception music.

Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. wright for a lifetime of happiness!
