My 5 Must Have Getting Ready Photos for Every Bride. Ladies we’ve dreamt of this day since we were little! These are the important shots you are going to want your photographer to capture regardless if you are having a big old wedding, paired down micro wedding , or elopement in Charleston.

5 Must Have Getting Ready Photos for Every Bride:

1). Getting that final touch-up of makeup or lip gloss. I recommend having your photographer arrive when you are almost done with makeup, that way whatever photos she takes you will be looking glam already. If makeup is running behind, your photographer can always photograph all of the pretty little bridal details you have spent months purchasing for your big day.

2). Robe photos with your bride squad! You know the photos- you and all of your bridesmaids in matching floral robes. Even better if you have a bottle of champagne to open to celebrate you becoming a wifey today!

3). Putting on jewelry such as earrings, necklaces, bracelets is a must have shot for any bride. Bonus points if your mom or a mother figure help. I love photos of mother of the brides zipping up wedding dresses! It’s a great way to make them feel special before your photographer moves on to bridal party photos.

4). Putting on the finishing touches such as bridesmaids fluffing out the layers of the bride’s dress or helping attach the veil. Those last-minute wardrobe tweaks look fantastic and turned into timeless black-and-white images too!

5). The first look by a bride of herself in the mirror once she is completely ready. I adore seeing the glowing look on a bride’s face during this moment! She gets to see all of her planning for her wedding day look come together. There is nothing more inspiring than a bride anticipating marrying the partner of her dreams!

Perfect Mount Pleasant Getting Ready Venue

The perfect venue for your 5 must have getting ready photos for every bride is the White Room. It’s light and airy and filled with plants and positive vibes. It has 10 styling chairs and gold mirrors, for this reason, it’s fabulous for large bridal parties. You can have their in-house stylists do your hair and makeup or invite your own.

Besides a lounge area, my favorite part as a wedding photographer is the photography studio located within. It’s ideal for bridal portraits once you are ready. There are also two private separate dressing areas and a large bathroom. Did I mention there is a kitchen too with a coffee maker and most importantly a fridge to chill the champagne! The White Room is located in Mount Pleasant, SC. So, it’s close to dreamy wedding venues like Pepper Plantation, Alhambra Hall, and Boone Hall Plantation.
