About Leigh Hayward Photography
Here’s where I spill all about Leigh Hayward Photography. First of all, hi there I’m Leigh! My love for photography was cemented when my grandfather gave me two of his vintage film cameras. I was at art college in London at the time and fell in love with exploring Europe & Asia behind the lens of a camera. I quickly changed my college major to photography ( thank goodness because I am not a natural painter). After graduating, I got a job at a fashion portrait studio in the UK. This hands-on experience greatly helped me build my confidence behind a camera as well as my communication skills with clients.
Today, I feel like I am able to help my clients quickly relax which results in authentic photos true to them. After years of living abroad, I was super homesick for the conveniences of the USA. So, I returned in 2006 and started my portrait and wedding photography business in Charleston, SC.
What Brings Me Joy
When I’m not photographing crazy in love couples you should know I’m a mama of two kids and one fur baby. If you send me an email I promise to get back to you after our exhausting bed time routine! You can often find me hitting up yoga classes to slow down my mental to-do list and b-r-e-a-t-h-e. This comes in handy during your wedding day when I need to bring the calm and focus.
I also love a good charcuterie board & glass of red blend wine, so prepare yourself for socially distanced wedding meetings to be held at wine bars. Lastly, I live for the South Carolina sand between my toes! That’s why my Charleston wedding reception was held at Patriot’s Point beach with a reggae band. It was perfect for me and my laid back southern hubby.
If it sounds like you and I would vibe well, let’s get the conversation going my engaged friend!
