Romantic Charleston Proposal

I recently was booked to photograph a large family reunion this upcoming Easter, however, the COVID-19 virus had different plans! The family reunion was sadly put on hold. However, a few days later, I received a message from Brandon. He was dating one of the immediate family members involved in the reunion. He told me he and his girlfriend Michele were planning on driving down to Charleston that week from Michigan. Brandon confessed he was planning to ask Michele’s family for their blessing and propose shortly thereafter. I love romantic surprise proposals in Charleston and eagerly volunteered my photography services. 

A PERFECT CHARLESTON PROPOSAL LOCATION

 At this point in time, most of the big plantations were closed due to COVID-19. I suggested Laurel Hill County Park in Mt. Pleasant. I believe it is the perfect romantic Charleston proposal location! It is secluded and super dreamy. After a few secretive texts between Brandon and I, we came upon a plan.

CHARLESTON PROPOSAL DETAILS

Brandon got Michele to the park saying he wanted to go for a walk.  When he reached the allee of oak trees dripping in Spanish Moss, he gave Michele a love letter to read. Afterwards, he dropped down on one knee and proposed. She enthusiastically said yes!! I then came out of hiding and introduced myself. I offered the happy couple a bottle of chilled champagne from One Hope to toast their engagement and then we did an impromptu engagement session.

Congrats to Brandon for successfully pulling off a romantic surprise proposal in Charleston to Michele!
